Our Action Plan
The Planning Alliance Action Plan, endorsed by our Board and supported by our Members, lays out the strategic pillars of our work and how we deliver positive change and impact for public sector planning.
This is achieved in collaboration with our Members working through Communities of Practice. We welcome all those interested in our work to get in contact, support the movement, and participate in our Action Plan.
Attract
Public sector planning offers people a career that directly impacts communities, residents, and businesses. We want to attract the best and brightest, from all walks of life and from all disciplines, to join public sector planning and create positive impact for communities across the country.
Develop
The best workplaces are those that inspire, provide growth, and offer learning opportunities whilst innovating and improving working conditions. We are highlighting best practice across public and private sector working environments to make public sector planning a positive place to work. We are also exploring and promoting ways to improve the productivity and ‘operations’ of public sector planning.
Retain
Inclusive and meaningful economic growth requires public and private sector to work together. In many places, this type of collaboration is already happening. We are illuminating positive impact stories, projects, and people to shine a light on the great work being delivered so that people stay and grow in public sector planning.
How do we deliver on our action plan?
Our private and public sector members participate in Communities of Practice, centred around our strategic pillars, to come together and identify issues, develop actions, and create outputs that support our mission to improve public sector planning.
